Artie Liu
I am a recent graduate from the University of Sydney, with a Master of Commerce degree with <Big Data in Business> and <Business Analysis>. I completed my bachelor’s degree at the University of Alberta with a specialization in Mathematical Computational Science in 2017. After traveling around North America and Australia, I am now back in Canada and looking for an opportunity to get into the Data Science field and to settle down.
I love to travel. I visited about 15 cities across North America so far and will continue to do so after the pandemic. And my family and I love to hang out to Banff and Jasper for a month each year.
Chunyan Xie
The speaker from the very first 12 Coffee event that I attended taught me that “the world is evolving faster than ever before. If you stop polishing existing skills or stop learning new things, the world will pass you by.” Thus, I joined 12 Coffee to be part of the team that helps people connect with inspiring industry leaders with a tiny selfish goal of challenging myself with new tasks.
Hi, my name is Chunyan, a current after degree accounting student at the University of Alberta, and I am responsible for video editing and some of the website content creation. It may sound weird to you that what I am doing doesn’t match my school major, but I always have been a “weird” person doing a “weird” combination of things. The only thing that matters is that I learned valuable skills, and I enjoy what I am doing!
Donald Murataj
Donald is an actuarial science student with a double minor in data science and Chinese at the University of Calgary. He is passionate about machine learning and data analytics, especially in insuretech and fintech. He has had numerous co-op experiences both in data science and actuarial at various Canadian insurance companies. Before the pandemic, he enjoyed traveling and physical fitness, but lately, he spends most of his free time learning to create mobile apps in flutter.
